About this product
What is chlorella powder?
Chlorella (Chlorella vulgaris) is a freshwater green alga made up of single cells. Like spirulina it is grown in controlled pools and dried into a powder, and like spirulina it is dense: more than half of the powder by weight is protein. Ours is certified organic.
How it is made
The alga is cultivated, harvested and dried, then milled into a fine powder. No additives are used.
What it tastes like
Earthy, nutty and grass-like with a slight bitterness, and a strong green colour. It is a flavour that rewards blending with fruit.
How to use chlorella powder
Add 3 to 5 g a day to a smoothie or juice. It pairs well with mango, pineapple and citrus, and can be stirred into dressings, dips and energy balls. Please consult your doctor before taking any nutrient-dense product.
Quality and sourcing
Certified organic under EU Regulation 2018/848 (certifier NL-BIO-01). Suitable for vegans. Not irradiated and GMO-free. May contain naturally occurring sulphites; none are added. Shelf life of 24 months from production. Store cool and dry, do not freeze, and keep away from direct sunlight.
