About this product
What is hemp seed protein powder?
Hemp seed protein powder is made by pressing the oil from hemp seed and milling what remains. It is a raw product: nothing is heated beyond the pressing. Around half of the powder by weight is protein, with a good deal of fibre alongside. Ours is grown organically in the EU and is a single ingredient.
How it is made
The seeds are pressed to remove the oil and the press cake is milled to a fine powder, 95% of which passes a 200 micron sieve.
What it tastes like
Earthy and nutty, with the green, slightly grassy character of hemp and a fine, floury texture. The colour ranges from beige to grey.
How to use hemp seed protein powder
Add a scoop to a shake or smoothie, stir it into porridge or yoghurt, mix it into energy balls and bars, or use it to replace part of the flour in bread and muffins. It pairs well with cacao, banana and nut butters.
Quality and sourcing
Certified organic. Shelf life of 12 months at delivery. Store protected from humidity, warmth and light; after opening, keep well closed and use promptly.
