About this product

What is pink pitaya powder?

Pink pitaya is the red-fleshed variety of dragon fruit, the fruit of a climbing cactus (Hylocereus undatus). Ours is grown organically in Brazil. Only the pulp is used, and the powder is 100% pitaya with no added colour, which is remarkable given how intensely magenta it is.

How it is made

Selected fruit is processed to separate the pulp, which is freeze-dried and milled into powder under Good Manufacturing Practice. Freeze-drying keeps the colour vivid and the flavour clean.

What it tastes like

Gently sweet with a soft, melon-like fruitiness and very little acidity. The colour is the point: a saturated magenta pink that stains everything it touches in the best way.

How to use pink pitaya powder

This is the powder for colour. A teaspoon turns a smoothie bowl, a yoghurt or a glass of lemonade bright pink. Use it in chia puddings, jellies, sweets, icing and pancake batter, or blend it with a sharper fruit powder for balance.
